Lent at CPC

Lent began on Ash Wednesday, February 14 and is the 40-day period (not counting Sundays) between Ash Wednesday and Easter. Lent is a time to prepare our hearts to receive anew the Easter message of new life through Christ’s resurrection. For thousands of years Christians have observed a holy time of Lenten preparation through the practice of Lenten disciplines. Traditionally these disciplines include: prayer, fasting, gifts to charity, scripture reading and worship. I encourage you to engage in these disciplines as you feel lead. I’d like to especially encourage you to observe Lent through a gift to One Great Hour of Sharing (offering received on Easter). To learn more about the One Great Hour of Sharing Offering in Worship go to

Starting February 22 there will be a drop-in Labyrinth Walk from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. for the next five weeks. Come for the whole hour or five minutes or something in between. Rev. Linda will be on hand for walk guidance.
