DOES YOUR ESTATE PLAN EXPRESS YOUR CHRISTIAN FAITH AND YOUR COMMITMENT TO CHRIST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH?
Planned giving leaves a legacy of generosity
We are all in the generous habit of giving to CPC in the usual ways, like placing our offering in the plate on Sundays, writing a special check for One Great Hour of Sharing, or buying Christmas gifts at the Advent Mission Festival.
But have you ever considered whether your estate plan expresses your commitment to Christian stewardship?
Have you ever considered whether your estate plan honors your commitment to CPC?
The estate-planning process can be a fruitful aspect of your spiritual journey because it invites careful consideration of your relationship with God and with money. How can your estate plan reflect your faith and sustain CPC for generations to come?
Over the years, monetary bequests from members’ estates have significantly impacted CPC by renovating the sanctuary, sending kids to nature camp, and enhancing our worship-music program, for example. Just a fraction of even modest estates can make a huge impact on the ministry of this church.
Gifts of real property can also be extraordinarily beneficial to our church family.
A large portion of our annual budget is consumed by pastoral-housing expenses. And, because of the high cost-of-living in Terra Linda, a large portion of our pastor’s personal expenses is housing-related as well. Your gift of your home to CPC could become a manse (pastor’s house), which would improve the quality of housing we offer our pastor, increase the value of our call package, and free up significant funds for other ministries. As the home appreciates in value, your gift will give more-and-more to future generations at CPC.
Please consider including a bequest to CPC in your will or trust, as either a percentage of your estate or a fixed gift of money or property. You can also give by adding CPC as a beneficiary of retirement plans, annuities, and other estate-planning vehicles.
Your estate-planning attorney can show you how, and the Presbyterian Foundation, www.presbyterianfoundation.org, also has resources and specialists available.
So please take some time to reflect on this new way of giving, one that continues beyond your lifetime and leaves a special legacy of love and support for the CPC community.

Christ Presbyterian Church Wish List
The continuing generosity of our members and friends enables our Sunday worship services and our current church ministry and operations.
As we journey together, some of our dreams inevitably reach beyond our budget. We encourage those who are able to give beyond their annual pledge or in memory or honor of a loved one or special event to consider helping us realize some of these dreams.
Here are some of the programs and items that we believe can dramatically impact the life and mission of our church and leave a wonderful legacy of your generosity:
