A Christmas Carol Sunday School Class – Nov. 4 through December 16
Do children today know the story of the first Christmas? Do they know about Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, the star, and the wise men? Do they know about the birth of Jesus? And if they know all this, do they know why it is good news? Charles Dickens knew. In his classic story, A Christmas Carol, Ebenezer Scrooge discovers the good news of Christmas. Christmas calls us to care about others and to make the world a better place. Sundays, November 4 – December 16, Ann Reppun, assisted by Addie Melville-Warner, will lead a very special Advent preparing for Christmas Sunday School unit. Together the class will read A Christmas Carol, make music, create art, read the story of the first Christmas, and discover why it is a story of good news. This program is for kindergarten through 8th grade. Come one or all the Sundays. Invite friends, family, and neighbors. Sunday School students should come to 9:30 a.m. Worship and will be dismissed to class following the Sermon Starter. Class will end at 10:45 a.m.
